Privacy Policy
Short version: I collect what you hand me so I can answer you, and I don’t sell it to anyone. The long version is below.
Who this covers
This policy covers moeyourhomegirl.com, the personal real estate site of Moe Hannon, a licensed Illinois real estate broker with Ellyn & Main at KW Premiere Properties in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Where this policy says “I” or “me,” it means Moe Hannon.
What I collect
When you fill in the home value form on this site, I collect the property address you enter, your name, the phone number or email you give me as a contact, and where you say you are in the process. Those four things are the whole form.
Like most websites, this one also records ordinary technical information automatically: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, and the site or search that sent you here. I use website analytics tools, including Google Analytics, to understand which pages people find useful.
I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and I never ask for a Social Security number, bank details, or financial account information through this website.
Why I collect it
- To answer your question and prepare the home value estimate you asked for.
- To contact you about your property, your search, or the move you’re considering.
- To keep a record of our conversation so nothing gets lost between calls.
- To understand how this site is being used, so I can make it more useful.
About contacting you. When you submit the form you are asking me to get in touch, so I will — by phone, text, or email, whichever you gave me. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can tell me to stop at any time, by replying STOP to a text, by clicking unsubscribe in an email, or just by saying so, and I will.
Who sees it
Your information goes into Follow Up Boss, the customer relationship system I use to keep track of the people I’m working with. It is also handled by the service providers who keep this website running and my email and analytics working. Those companies process the information on my behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
I may share your information with my managing brokerage, or with a lender, attorney, inspector, title company, or contractor, but only when doing so is part of helping you with your transaction, and only as far as that requires. I may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect someone’s safety or legal rights.
I do not sell your personal information, and I do not rent or trade your contact details to other agents, lead companies, or advertisers.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences and to measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, parts of the site may not work the way they should. Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal; there is still no common standard for how sites should respond to it, so this site does not currently respond to it.
Other people’s websites
This site links to places I don’t control, including property search platforms, MLS listing data, and social media. Once you follow a link off this site, that company’s privacy policy governs what happens to your information, not this one.
How long I keep it
I keep inquiry and client records for as long as I’m working with you, and afterward for as long as Illinois real estate recordkeeping rules require or my own business records reasonably need. When it is no longer needed, it gets deleted.
Your choices
You can ask me what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, or ask me to stop contacting you. Email or call using the details below and I’ll take care of it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy law; if you do, I’ll honor them.
Security
This site is served over an encrypted connection and the systems I use are password protected. No website or database is perfectly secure, so I can’t promise absolute security, but I take it seriously and I keep the amount of information I collect deliberately small.
